Sepe Muaau is an actor, writer and director based in Tāmaki Makaurau of Samoan heritage from the villages of Levī-Sāleimoa and Matāutu-Falelātai.
Sepe holds a BA (Hons) in Theatre and a Master’s degree from Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University, he achieved this alongside the Director’s MTA programme at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School. He is currently undertaking a PhD in Theatre, with a focus on decolonising processes and rehearsal practices.
His work spans both stage and screen, with acting and directing credits across Aotearoa at Circa, Q and Basement Theatre, with companies such as Barbarian, the Royal New Zealand Ballet and A Slightly Isolated Dog. On Screen, Sepe has appeared in Under The Vines and Wellington Paranormal.
While theatre has shaped much of his creative journey, Sepe is now shifting his focus toward screen.
