Michelle is a recognised and versatile actress with a career in both film and television spanning over two decades.
Nominated for an Emmy for her role of Alex in “Fear The Walking Dead; Flight 462”; she also won Best Actress in a Feature Film at the New Zealand Film Awards for her portrayal of the real-life lead character in “My Wedding and Other Secrets” and was nominated in Australia for a Logie (Emmy equivalent) for her role in the long running hit TV series “Neighbours”.
She has held series regular roles in TV shows both locally (New Zealand) and abroad, and performed in critically acclaimed films that have taken home top honors at festivals including Sundance, Cannes and Berlin. She has had the privilege of working with high caliber directors including Toa Fraser, Jodie Foster, Jane Campion, John Hillcoat and Steven Soderbergh.
As a natural extension to her experience, Michelle has worked in production of high end commercials, art direction and also branched into directing. Taking helm of two music videos for the artist LIPS, and recently shooting her first short film “NAI” in Los Angeles. Michelle also produced her first feature “For Izzy” which enjoyed a phenomenal festival run with many audience choice awards. She was invited to the Sundance Director Lab in 2018 to workshop a feature.
Michelle recently took on a character role in a reboot of an iconic series for US television and working on future directing projects.
