Marshayla is an actor and creative artist based in Auckland, known for her compelling performances and dynamic screen presence. 

She is best recognised for her breakout leading role as Gloria in Happiness, New Zealand’s first original musical TV series, which has recently been renewed for a second season and is set to air internationally.

A graduate of Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, Shay began her screen career with the leading role of Lana in the TVNZ web series Meme. Since then, she has gone on to feature in a wide range of projects, including the Hallmark film A Love Yarn, the acclaimed feature film Whina, and a supporting role as Hine in TVNZ’s Rule of Mum. She has also toured nationally with Auckland Theatre Company, further establishing her versatility across stage and screen.

A true triple threat, Shay is trained in acting, singing, and dance, with experience in musical theatre. Drawing from her Croatian, Māori, and Tongan heritage, she brings a rich cultural depth to her work.
