Edmund (Eds) Eramiha, a proud representative of Ngāpuhi, hails from Kaikohe in Northland and grew up in West Auckland. With a deep passion for the arts, music, theatre, screen, physical movement, and martial arts, Eds has built a thriving career in the entertainment industry.

He is widely recognised for his leading role in the New Zealand crime series Vegas (TVNZ), which earned him a Best Actor nomination at the New Zealand Television Awards. His recent projects include Chief of War (Apple), as well as the films The Convert (Dir: Lee Tamahori) and The Legend of Baron To’a (Dir: Kiel McNaughton). 

On stage, Eramiha is particularly proud of his work with the Pop Up Globe, where he played Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Curio in Twelfth Night, including performances in Te Reo Māori. He has just finished touring The Play That Goes Wrong as Trevor in both New Zealand and Australia. 

Eds holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi. He is also trained in Māori weaponry, Muay Thai, and kickboxing, with a keen interest in Maurākau, having studied at Te Whare Tu Taua ō Aotearoa and Te Ao Whakaari.

Eramiha is driven by a mission to inspire, share knowledge, and bring Aotearoa’s stories to a global audience, ensuring Māori voices are heard and celebrated. Based in Auckland, Eramiha is also a father to two daughters, Tuihana Eramiha and Manawa.
