David Farrier is a journalist who primarily works for TV3, across the 6pm news, Campbell Live, and the Paul Henry Show. He's sometimes referred to as New Zealand's Louis Theroux, swaying towards stories of the odd, entertainment, and tech variety. Most recently he filed a story for Campbell Live about Mr Muffins the cat, who landed a New Zealand couple in an American court room. Prior to that, Farrier was at the Grammies in Los Angeles covering the incredible success that was/is Lorde. Next up, he’s off to follow Nine Inch Nails’ tour of New Zealand, from Auckland to Christchurch. He also enjoys writing the odd feature of magazines, newspapers and online, and hosts a podcast with Rhys Darby. The two will soon appear together in a TV comedy called Short Poppies.
