Summary

Comic, Jonathan Brugh has been performing his unique brand of comedy theatre for over 20 years. He began with the absurdist tragic- comic duo Sugar & Spice who won critical acclaim throughout New Zealand and Australia and won the Chapman Tripp Award for best Comic Performance in 1996 and the Billy T Award in 1998. 2001 saw Jonathan return to University completing a degree in Art and Design. During this time he focused on developing the story of Madam Lucy Tuesday through photography. Jonathan now explores photography as another story telling medium while working as a photographer professionally. In 2003 Jonathan wrote and performed his solo show The Fall and Rise Or The Rise And Fall Of Dinky Jon, which involved him catapulting watermelons at the stage walls and flying over the audience hanging from a rail dressed as super man. While devising and performing My Brother And I are Porn Stars, Jonathan has also been developing his next solo show titled The Legend Of Madam Lucy Tuesday. He is also developing a stand up character called T-RETZ, who is a bass playing mutant clown who thinks he’s Robert Smith from The Cure. Jonathan is a very versatile and experienced MC and entertainer and can tailor his performances to suit any corporate event.
